    • 1. Follow the steps above to uninstall MSI Center and MSI Center SDK.
    • 2. Search for MSI Dragon Center/MSI Creator Center in Microsoft Store to install Dragon Center/Creator Center.

The issue is duplicated, no need more screenshots thanks.
The topic will be updated when there is a scheduled date for a fix for this issue.
Hello there, specifically made an account for this problem.

Been dealing with quite a lot of headache from this CC_Engine_x64 process that's connected to MSI Center. The memory leak is quite terrible especially for someone like me who needs their PC active for long periods of time due to work.

Is there any ETA on a fix? It is incredibly frustrating.

Bug Report

MSI Center version 2.0.36.0 is experiencing very high CPU usage. The WMI process is also very high, in the version I used (2.0.22.0) it was always below 1% (0.4% or even less) I did some tests and when I stopped the "MSI Center service" and kill MSI Terminal, MSI center and MSI Case, the WMI returned to normal.
Another thing is CC_Engine_x64.exe, it also has very high CPU usage, not to mention that it increases memory consumption as time passes, in previous versions it was always below 0.1%, most of the time It didn't even consume CPU.

I needed to kill all the extra MSI center processes and services to be able to have a better experience.

Setup:
Ryzen 7 5700X
MSI B550 Tomahawk
Memory Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x16GB
PSU XPG Core 850W
RX 6750 XT Sapphire Nitro+
Windows 10 Latest Version

Sometimes it reaches 4% WMI.

You know I have noticed the weird acting of WMI, never made the connection it was connected to the weird acting of MSI Center but now that you mention it, it literally started happening at the same time.

Again, would be cool to get some kind of ETA or at least a workaround.

Same here, when I exit MSI center WMI goes to 0.1-.07%. When I open up MSI Center it's going from 3% til 10% atleast. (screenshot is in idle mode).. I notice performance issues lower FPS in games because of this. MSI Please fix it or give me an older version.

I downloaded MSI Center then installed both MC and the SDK on my computer but after it keep telling me that I don't have internet connection to initialize MSI Center (?)
***Update***
I found this
The 2024 version has fixed the bug from 2021..
Please disregard the following...

This guy never got a response...as far as I can tell.
Why is that MSI?
This post was made in 2021.
I have the same problem and I wonder how to fix it.

My M-Vision has been connected via the USB cable. I have made sure that the I am using the correct port and that I have the switch set correctly on the MB. However the M-Vision refuses to work. It constantly starts than goes blank. This happens every few seconds. I keep getting a beep everytime it "connects" then disconnects. This has been going on for most of the versions of M-Center. Very infuriating and I dont want to install it on my MB as I have hard tube cooling that blocks the view of M-Vision. Any ideas?

Tested version 2.0.37.0 (clean install)

High memory usage by CC_Engine_x64.exe solved!

High CPU usage by WMI Provider Host and CC_Engine_x64.exe not solved.
  • *WMI CPU usage peak at 5% (monitored for 2 hours) Average usage 2.8%
  • *CC_Engine_x64.exe peak at 8% (monitored for 2 hours) Average usage 3.1%

My cpu is showing 0 mhz all the time. It works after restarting 1 or 2 times. I think it was working ok till I installed adrenalin software, and it shows zero cpu temperature. Newest version on both too. They seem to mess up both or both work from startup.

I know a LOT of you use this for RGB, which is not really something I care about, but is there nothing third party that will do that for you? ( OpenRGB, SignalRGB, etc.) I cannot imagine that people use something as god awful as MSI center by choice.

The reason I use Mystic Light is the LED turn off function when the monitor turns off. I didn't find this function in any other LED control program.
My biggest wish is that MSI would make a "Mystic Light" standalone version, without the need to install MSI Center. (As it was before)

Tested version 2.0.38.0 (clean install)

All folders manually deleted after uninstall an run "CleanCenterMaster"
Manually deleted folders:
...program data\MSI
...Appdata\local\MSI
...ProgramFilesX86\MSI

Installed New Version 2.0.38.0
Repair and Restore (App config, just to ensure that nothing is left pending)

After many hours of testing:

High memory usage by CC_Engine_x64.exe: solved!
High memory and CPU usage by CC_Engine_x64.exe: solved!

High CPU usage by WMI Provider Host: not resolved.

I reset WMI before reinstalling, with the commands:
Winmgmt /salvagerepository
Winmgmt /resetrepository

WMI keeps consuming a high CPU.
Peak at 5.8% (When MSI Center is open or minimized in the tray)
Peak at 2.9% (With MSI Center is closed or not run at startup)
Average usage 2.1%

I would like to thank MSI and say that I appreciate your work, as I know that you have worked hard to resolve these issues, I believe this is the last one to be resolved.

This [***CENSORED***] company should only integrate Windows Dynamic Lighting.

Tested, so far the best version that has been released! (2.0.39.0)
Stable, low CPU usage, low memory usage!

My MSI PRO H610M-G WiFi DDR4 just died after only 8 months. Swapped out for an Asrock board and all is good again.
